SOMASI was founded in 2018 by Sanchia Thompson with a clear purpose: to give international clients access to offshore financial services that actually feels personal.

Backed by two decades in senior roles at some of the BVI’s most established trust companies, including positions as Director and Managing Director, Sanchia brings both the technical depth and the industry standing that those relationships require. What she envisioned was a firm with fewer layers between a client and the person responsible for their structures, and a standard of service that genuinely reflected the complexity and significance of what was being managed.

SOMASI began as a single-person operation. Today it is a team of six, working with international clients across the BVI, Cayman Islands, Nevis and the Bahamas. The size is deliberate. We are built to offer the depth of capability that significant structures require, without the institutional distance that often comes with scale.

The name, SOMASI, and the principle behind it, Solutions Made Simple, came together at the same time. It remains the most accurate description of what we do: we take structures that are complex by nature, and we manage them in a way that feels straightforward to the people who depend on them.
